What a magical time of year! Our area has so much to offer with events happening in most towns throughout the month.

Get your tickets for Vermont Ballet Theater’s Live production of The Nutcracker at The Flynn Center for Performing Arts in Burlington! Fun for all ages! Performances on December 18th and 19th! Burlington also has two exciting animal events at ECHO. Meet reindeers from Vermont Reindeer Farm on December 27th and meet the October Siberian Sled Dogs on December 30th! Find out more info, here. On New Years Eve the kids can drop in at The Fletcher Free Library to explore the fun of science, art and technology with legos, crafts, activities and more!

In Essex, visit the Holly Jolly Junction on December 18th! This family-friendly and festive event will be more centralized to the Five Corners with activities in both the village offices parking lot and Firebird front and back lots. Live music, outdoor moving screenings of Dr. Suess’ classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Winter themed crafts with Brownell Library, hot chocolate and cookies and even a visit from santa!

Don’t forget The Winter Lights in the Park will begin December 18th and run through New Years! Walk-through Maple Street Park and enjoy winter tunes and bright lights of the season.

Make a day of holiday memories in Shelburne, start at Shelburne Farms for a Horse Drawn Wagon or Sleigh Ride.  Giddy up on these 20-minute rides from the Farm Store. Be sure to make a reservation!

When the sun sets, you will be sure to feel the spirit of the season while viewing the Winter Lights at Shelburne Museum. A holiday extravaganza for all ages, beautiful holiday lights adorn the Museum’s buildings and grounds. Event runs through Jan. 1st, get your tickets, here!
