People come from all over to visit Vermont in the fall. The colors of the trees in Vermont are one of a kind. Take a drive down any road and you’ll feel the magic of the fall colors.

When is the best time to visit Vermont in the fall? The foliage generally peaks around early October but the weeks ahead of that are also stunning. If you wait until the middle of October, it’s going to be too late! Peak will last a few days or a week but the leaves will begin to fade quickly.

There are so many things to do around Vermont throughout fall. Apple orchards and prevalent throughout Vermont. One of our favorite local spots is Adam’s Apple Orchard . Make sure to grab some apple cider donuts while you’re there!

Next up is grabbing that perfect pumpkin! Adam’s also does pumpkins, but another great spot is Isham’s Family Farm. A picture-perfect spot to pick your pumpkin.

Vermont is also home to New England’s largest corn maze! Take a short drive to find out if you can make it through the maze. Many have tried, do you have what it takes?

Finally, one of our favorite things to do is take a drive through Smuggler’s Notch. Take the Mountain Road through the winding mountains. It’s a great opportunity to take a day trip to visit Stowe and all it’s wonderful attractions.
